Project Highlights

  • EDP Renewables – Moray East Offshore Wind Project (1,116 MW)

Assisted EDPR from successful bid submission, through development of the Business Case with Marine Scotland and generation of the Environmental Statement to gain consent to construct and operate the Telford, Stevenson and MacColl Offshore Wind Farms. ------------------------------ Dear Anthony As you know we received our consents to construct and operate the Telford, Stevenson and MacColl Offshore Wind Farms on 19 March 2014. Although it seems a very long time since we celebrated submitting the applications for the project we're delighted that the Moray Offshore Renewables Ltd applications were not only the first Round 3 projects to be submitted in the UK, but also the first to be consented. I want to thank you for the support we've had during this process. Your third party review of our Environmental Statement helped give it the final polish it needed and provided the team with reassurance that the document held up to scrutiny before we submitted the applications. Please pass on my thanks to your colleagues who have helped us along the way in what we recognise was often a very challenging and demanding process. We could not have reached this significant milestone for the project without your contributions. Through your help and support we have a robust set of consents which will not only generate jobs and investment in Scotland and the UK but will create significant reductions in climate change gases and enhance our security of supply in what are increasingly uncertain time. • RATP Dev – Riyadh Bus Contract

Groundbreaking $2.1 Billion 10-year contract to operate and maintain buses in Riyadh. Worked with SMEs to draft the Technical Proposal and publish the bid documents to achieve winning scores in the evaluation. All were assembled online with a print-ready copy sent to Paris for printing. ------------------------------ Dear All This bid has been not a simple or straightforward one. The challenges of following a client with little experience on their long first and complicated journey and whilst they concurrently undergo a massive Metro Design & Build programme is not without its' challenges, struggles and hurdles. Not to forget, as a part of the team, we have had great support from our advisors PwC and A&O as well as the sterling effort from ECP on the Proposals - thanks. So as the bid documentation gets delivered, I would like to thank all of you personally for your support, your work and most importantly your commitment, in pulling together a project that at times, was not always easy or plain sailing. Working in two very different countries, three time zones and three different sets of week days, not to mention the three languages, made it particularly challenging. The regular extensions and scope changes, put a lot of pressure on us all. Again thanks. Riyadh Bus Project Director

  • RATP Dev – Riyadh Metro Operating and Maintenance Contract

Continued with RATP Dev to produce a set of proposals for the Riyadh Metro Operating and Maintenance Contract worth c. $2Bn over 10 years. The PQQ was submitted in April 2015, followed by two rounds of tendering to Contract Award, due in 2018. The proposal was developed online with print-ready copy provided for printing in Riyadh, with folders and dividers manufactured in the UK. This was the largest and most complicated bid we have ever seen and a major challenge for bid and proposal management. ------------------------------ Ladies and Gentlemen, Many of you may now be aware that RATP Dev has been provided with the Letter of Award for Riyadh Metro Line 1 and 2. Soon we will sign the contract and be advised of the Effective Date for commencement of the Development Period. I would like to thank you all for your contribution to this achievement. It was a long, complex and, at times, difficult process. You all approached the challenge with an exceptional level of energy, enthusiasm and effort. We were successful because the documents and Plans that you prepared from the time of Pre-Qualification through to the final Proposal were consistently ranked in front of our competitors. The analysis, planning, and optimization undertaken by you all enabled us to confident in taking considered risks which significantly contributed to our competitive pricing. Beyond this, I appreciate the spirit in which you all approached the process. Being geographically divided made creation of a team spirit difficult but we were flexible and we worked well as a team using the time zone differences to our advantage. Many different nationalities created communication challenges but this was overcome through patience and persistence and we communicated a clear and consistent vision to the Client. The fatigue of the necessary late nights and weekend work to meet the timelines was met with good humour and commitment and all objectives were met. You should be proud of what you have achieved, I know I am. Once again, thank you. Kind regards Bid Director Riyadh Metro
